Shaving cream art!

I decided that since Margo was napping, that Mia and I would do some art making, this is called Marbling Paper with Shaving Cream..the direction are here Shaving Cream Paper

The supplies, shaving cream, sticks, and water colors..a little goes a LONG way!
Mia really liked stirring and always wanted more color
After purple and red..came blue and green, leaving more white in the shaving cream was better then trying to color the whole thing.
Putting the paper in a squishing it down.
Letting the paper dry a bit, I wiped it off with paper towels but I might use rags and rinse them next time I used a lot of paper towels..it was a bit messy.
Finished product, purple and red
Blue and green waiting to dry.
Blue and green finished product!
Do not touch these water colors directly, they stain, the only thing I do not like about them, use droppers to drop the color, I am not sure it comes out of clothes either...so be careful!

Father/daughter dance

Windham had a Father/Daughter dance, this was the first time Mia has ever gone to a dance, and we figured a haircut and some primping was in order

Cutting her hair did
Her "Princess do"
Finished!
In her dancing duds!
Getting ready to go!
The corsage!
Dad doing the honors
He said that she had a great time and they topped off the night with icecream!

Maple Syrup Sunday

This past weekend is known in Maine as Maple Syrup Sunday. We decided to go back to Coopers farm, where last year we went for a pancake breakfast.

Below Margo is all comfy in her carrier with Craig.

Coopers Farm in Windham
The farm has tiny horses (I forget what they are called, but you can ride them in the summer)

Mia watching the ponies

We walked around the farm to see how they tap the tree that go to the sugar house
Craig shows Mia the new tap lines
And they taste the sap from the older buckets that still use on some of the trees

The farm also had some fun animals that we said hi too
This beautiful peacock
and gazing cows
We couldn't leave with getting some fresh Maple Syrup, this bottle was still warm, when we bought it.

It was so nice, after this super long winter to get out in some fresh air and sunshine!
