Unplugged Sunday-Foster's Farm
This sunday we decided to take a ride out to Foster's Farm, which is right near us in South Windsor CT, they have a small zoo, 2 corn mazes, and a Colonial Reenactment Camp, which was pretty awesome...They also had a really cool play ground, so we packed up Mia and made a day of it.
Apple Crisp
We started a few fall traditions this year, one of them being apple picking, canning apple sauce, and making apple crisp..that this year we put Mia to work...sort of..
The Big E
I loved going to the Big E for as long as I can remember, I started dragging Craig along when we were dating, and even brought Mia last year when she was really tiny. This year was extra special because she was more aware and could actually eat all the tasty fair goodies that the fair had to offer..
and lets now forget the butter sculpture which is my favorite thing to see..yes I am a little odd..
The Maine Building
The CT buidling
This was by far, Mia's favorite thing at the fair, it was a large music organ, that was built for the fair, she loved the music and would laugh and clap to it.
Mia enjoying the music organ
And of course my favorite thing, the butter sculpture.
In one the farm buildings they had a whole bunch of animals just hanging out
Mia getting her first taste of the famous Big E cream puffs!
My sweet girl, after a LONG day, but she had a ball.
We had wonderful weather, and it was so much fun to watch Mia look at all the sights, sounds and tastes of the fair. It is something I hope we do for many years to come.
